Mozilla Firfox:

World best browser known for its extension, stability, fastness. It is the world most powerfull in terms of feature.
Having a decent score in every test like Acid test (93/100) and others.

Some notable points of Firefox in my test:

Feature and stability  : 10/10
fastness               : 9/10( very good on slow internet)
Virus proof            : 8/10
look and feel          : 7/10
Market Share           : 6/10
OS support             : 10/10(only 32bit and 64 bit windows,Mac,Linux)
               Total   : 50/60
Editor Advice: Just use it,it comes in every size and shape with tons of feature.Lots of tech blog showed
it as a slow browser but they havenot test on slow internet connection. If you have a very fast net connection
then it might be some variation in result(in milli second) but that can be negociable.

Rank:4
Google Chrome:

Google,s this browser has changed everything about conventional web browser
from look to speed. It is a fast browser and topped in every test whether it
is acid test(100/100) or other. Having minimal features, optimized for speed built on
Apple's web kit engine, its really awesome. It is not stable as other browser
Crash more. But its only nearly two years old and capture a fair market share
which is above opera and safari. No 64 bit edition available.

Some notable points of Chrome in my test:
Feature and stability  : 3/10
fastness               : 9/10
Virus proof            : 8/10
look and feel          : 9/10
Market Share           : 4/10
OS support             : 5/10(only 32bit windows,Linux,Mac)
               Total   : 38/60
Editor Advice: Usable but only for surfing purpose please don't expert more right now.

Which is the best firefox or Opera/chrome /safari

Today everyone wants to know which is the best browser for
internet surfing and downloading stuffs.when IE6 was
first lanched it became worlds best browser because it
was really excellent for that time but now everything has
change due complex programming environment their is no place
for slow featureless technology. So lets discuss and find out
which is the best browser in the market.

Rank:5
IE8(represent all IE version in my test):
IE is the product of Microsoft and comes with Windows Series OS like
Windows XP,Vista and 7.Right now it has more than 50% of market share
which is reduced by Mozilla Firefox which is now considered the
best browser.Right now the latest edition of Internet Explorer is IE8
and Microsoft is heavily working for its new upcoming IE9.IE8 is the
Microsoft most secure and fast browser compare to their other edition.
Microsoft added tones of features to IE8 like Tab Browsing, strong phising
filter, gorgeous look, faster than the previouse edition,64 bit version is
also available for its 64 bit enabled OS.But it fails in couple of test
just like Acid Test(20/100) and legs behind in every tech review.

Some notable points of IE8 in my test:
Feature and stability : 6/10
fastness : 6/10
Virus proof : 2/10
look and feel : 8/10
Market Share : 8/10
OS support : 4/10(only windows 32 and 64 bit)
Total : 34/60
Editor Advice: Usable but risky compare to all browser in our list.

Photoshop VS. GIMP

We know image editing is the core requirement of any OS.In windows and MAC PC Photoshop is the best solution but on Linux we have to only depend on the emerging open source software GIMP.
Lets have a look on this two Software and compare which one is the best.

GIMP:
GIMP is an acronym for GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed program for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring.

It has many capabilities. It can be used as a simple paint program, an expert quality photo retouching program, an online batch processing system, a mass production image renderer, an image format converter, etc.

GIMP is expandable and extensible. It is designed to be augmented with plug-ins and extensions to do just about anything. The advanced scripting interface allows everything from the simplest task to the most complex image manipulation procedures to be easily scripted.

Windows XP,Vista,7-support: yes
Mac support: Yes
Linux support: Yes

What we lack in GIMP
  • The images saved cannot be scaled over 100 % of their original size as GIMP extends support only for raster images.
  • GIMP  does not extend support for CMYK channels. And hence it is not very useful for people working on images meant for pre-press and printing formats.
  • GIMP does not support non-destructive layer effects like bevels, drop shadows, and glows like Photoshop does.
  • Not as easy to use and powerful as Photoshop.
GIMP Tutorial Book:
    Latest Version: GIMP 2.6.8

    Adobe Photoshop:
The Adobe Photoshop family of products is the ultimate playground for bringing out the best in your digital images and transforming them into anything you can imagine.
Its is the world best and most used image editing software with tons of feature.

    Windows XP,Vista,7-support: Yes
    Mac support: Yes.
    Linux support: No.

What we lack in Adobe Photoshop:
    • It is not open source, one has to pay for it.
    • .XCD  and other more formates are not supported.
    • You can open a layered image as a flat file without merging the layers in GIMP directly from the 'File' menu, which is not possible inPhotoshop CS4. Even after you open a file without layers in GIMP, the original properties are intact, unless you edit and save the file.
    • No community support like Gimp.
    Adobe Photoshop CS4 tutorial:

      Latest Version: Adobe Photoshop CS4

      Conclusion:
Adobe Photoshop is best in my opinion , it is easy to use, more powerful and you can get tons of free e-books(tutorial) on it whereas GIMP is ok, developing fast by open source community and one day it will be a serious threat to photoshop till than there is lots of hard work to GIMP community.
